Random House has announced publication of a Mark Twain fairy tale. The manuscript of “Oleomargarine” was discovered by Twain scholar John Bird at the Mark Twain Papers in Berkeley in 2011. He determined that the unfinished story was actually notes for an actual bedtime story he told his daughters Susie and Clara in Paris in 1879. Random House chose a husband and wife writing/illustrating team to finish and illustrate the story.
The deadline for proposals for ALA 2017 is tomorrow, January 7. See the calls for the two sessions under the Calls for Papers tab.
